Stephen King is an awesome writer, Stephanie Meyer is a woman who’s never worked a job and decided to waste her time and everybody else’s by chronicling her dream romance.
The facts speak for themselves.

The only intelligent decision she made, was targeting what has to be one of the most dim-witted teenage girls history has ever offered.
And I am a teenage girl – so allow me the right to vent after having to listen to

“But Edward and Bella a soul mates!”
Urk! – did it make you gag too?

I would not hate Twilight if it were not for the rabid fan base. Or Stephanie Meyers.

I’ve read interviews, hell, I’ve even read the series and I have no respect at all for her as a novelist.

In my opinion, the books were bland. Nothing ever happened in them. At least with Jo’s work you got to see the characters develop nicely. Harry changed.

Meyerpires do not. They have no depth. They’re just there.

Anyway, I agree with SK about Jodi Picoult. I read 2 of her books and they’re both really good!

I’m being serious now. Personally, if your niece learnt to read from Stephanie Meyer then I’d hate to see her grammar skills, do you know how poorly those books are written?

And even if she did learn something from SM’s books, what has Stephanie actually done except make herself richer? She has even said numerous times that when she writes, she writes for herself, no one else. Compare this to J.K Rowling, who has started her own charity, donated millions to that charity and many others, supports reading in kids very strongly, donated all her profits from ‘Tales of Beedle the Bard’ to charity and is planning to do the same with the Harry Potter encylopedia she is writing. Who do you think has done more to get kids reading hey? The self involved bitch who sits down in front of her massive TV all day eating twinkies and dreaming of pedo werewlves? Or the dedicated British author who wrote her first novel while living in a hovel of an apartment with a newborn child and no job and then, when she finally earned a decent amount of money, gave most of it away to charity?

Trust me, SM is not un anyway supernatural, she’s depraved, and unworthy of any praise whatsoever.

I wouldn’t mind the Twilight series if it weren’t for the fan girls, and Amy proved my point there. The worst part it that the majority of Twilight fans had never picked up a book thicker than a graylead pencil before laying their eyes on Twilight, and so their opinions are childish and uninformed.

I’ve said it a number of times and I’ll say it again: Vampires to not sparkle like pretty pixies in the sunlight my illinformed fan girl friends. Oh no, depending on what mythology you’re following, they either burst into flames and die, or get weakened to the point where they die. Kapeesh? They DIE!!!!!!!!!

That and he recommends Jodi Picoult? I’ve read 2 of her books. Dear God……
