It's the same with an army from WWII. You kill the leader and the troops fall back. As for Stella hugging Eben as his ashes spread on the wind sunlight has that effect on vampires. Eben sacrificed himself to save the remaining villagers in the town. read the books so you might compare better. They are REALLY good. Amazing artwork. How did it not make any sense?
