Steve Urkel to Go Toe-to-Toe with The Asylum’s Mega Shark vs. Crocosaurus

It’s probably very uncool of me to refer to actor Jaleel White as Steve Urkel, but when The Asylum casts the the guy in their upcoming monster movie mash-up “Mega Shark vs. Crocosaurus”, you know it’s because of the Urkel angle. The vast majority of their recent low-budget releases have featured an abundance former celebrities, so it’s not too surprising that they would track down the former “Family Matters” star for inclusion in one of their upcoming projects. Naturally, “Mega Python vs. Gatoroid” sounds like a thick, tightly-packed wad of cinematic fecal matter, but that probably won’t stop me from wasting two hours of my pathetic little life watching the damned thing from start to finish. And if White feels the need to express his undying love for cheese, I don’t think I would complain in the least.

“Mega Shark vs. Crocosaurus” should hit retail shelves on December 21st.

Todd was raised on a steady diet of Hollywood blockbusters, late-night Cinemax programming, and USA’s “Up All Night,” which may explain why his taste in movies is more than a little questionable. When he isn’t providing news and reviews for Beyond Hollywood, he can be found lounging lazily on his couch, perched in front of his television, or dwelling in places where direct sunlight can be easily avoided. He's happily married, in his 30's, and totally badass. If you'd like to reach Todd, you can follow him on Twitter or send him email/scoops to todd (at)

i think it’s a great move for an actor we’ve all just about forgotten about. i mean, mega shark resurrected (sort of) debbie gibson’s career, and she can’t act. an actual thespian might just make a go of it.
