Sunday? Whatever. Here’s the Robin Hood Superbowl Spot Now

Wanna see what Ridley Scott and Paramount has planned for Superbowl Sunday with their “Robin Hood” spot? Wonder no more. Here’s the “Robin Hood” Superbowl ad for your viewing pleasure. It’s nothing we haven’t seen before, though the introduction of Hood’s father into the mythos is interesting. I don’t think we ever learned a whole lot about his family background in any of the previous incarnations. Then again, coming from Ridley Scott I had expected more of a visual feast. It looks pretty, well, ordinary. But it is Scott, so maybe he’s saving the good stuff for the actual movie.

Starring Mark Strong, Kevin Durand, Russell Crowe, Cate Blanchett, Danny Huston, Matthew Macfadyen, William Hurt, Max von Sydow, Mark Addy, Scott Grimes, and directed by Ridley Scott.

Grab your arrows May 14, 2010.

Wow, all that and the game’s actually pretty good. That onside kick at the start of the 3rd quarter was classic
