Sung Kang on the Set of Tokyo Drift 2 — er, Fast Five

In Justin Lin’s “Fast Five”, Sung Kang returns as Han, his character from “The Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift”, a film that he, uh, died in. I guess “Fast Five” (currently in theaters) is like a prequel to that movie or something, if you know, you’re concern about logic in the series and all.

Anyways, Sung Kang is also the host of his own car talk show, “Car Talk with Sung Kang, aka Han from The Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift”, where he interviews people like his “Fast Five” co-star Tyson Beckford — er, I mean, Tyrese Gibson, who has a new reality TV show about Kosher food. I don’t know why anyone would watch a show about Kosher food, but whatever.

This is easily the funniest and most racist thing I’ve seen all day. Enjoy.

Here’s a previous installment of “Car Talk with Sung Kang, aka Han from The Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift”.

Yeah, apparently parts 4 and 5 occur at some point before Tokyo Drift. Han was also in the opening scene of 4. I honestly don’t see how his character is so special that they felt it necessary to bring him back and mess up the whole time frame.

Sung Kang and Justin Lin are buds. They’ve done four movies together since “Better Luck Tomorrow”. I’m guessing Lin just wanted Kang/Han to come back, and so they made it a prequel. Considering that it doesn’t matter much in regards to the movie’s timeline, well, it doesn’t matter much.

but if you pay attention the year of the cars featured, it really doesn’t make any sense. It’s set in the past with cars from the near future, I don’t think they thought it through. What ever I guess, the movie still makes a ton of cash
