They say the commercials are the best thing about the Superbowl (if, you know, you’re not into sports, as in, at all, I mean), and if you happen to dig movies, then it’s all about the movie trailers. Remember when “The Matrix” destroyed our senses with that bullet-time commercial and the question that had us all asking, “What is the Matrix?” Nothing has come that close yet, but here are a couple of movies with big-time hype behind them: the latest teasers for “The Fast and Furious 4″, and our very first teasers for “G.I. Joe”, “Land of the Lost”, and “Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen”. These are the ones that showed up over the Saturday weekend, so who knows how many will actually run on Sunday. I’ll add to the list as they show up.
- “Fast and Furious 4″
- “Star Trek 11″
- “Transformer 2: Revenge of the Fallen”
- “Angels and Demons”
- “Year One”
- “G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra”
- “Land of the Lost”
“Fast and Furious 4″: Girls. Cars. Diesel. Walker. Nothing you haven’t seen before.
“G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra”: Lots of CGI in this one, not surprisingly, coming from the man behind “The Mummy” films. Still, I’m surprised there’s this much CGI crammed into a 30-second teaser. Sienna Miller looks hot, though.
“Land of the Lost”: Looks like another potential hit for Ferrell.
“Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen”: More effin’ giant robots!
“Year One”: If you like Jack Black, I guess you’ll like this. If not, eh.
“Star Trek 11″: More Abrams Trek and more Kirk.
“Up”: Another Pixar hit? Probably.
“Angels and Demons”: Like the first? You’ll like the second one. More of the same stuff.
