Robert Kirkman on the Prison Set of The Walking Dead Season 3

Can’t wait for the third season of AMC’s monster hit “The Walking Dead”? Neither can original comic book writer/creator/TV show producer Robert Kirkman, as it turns out. In this latest featurette for the upcoming season, the creator of “The Walking Dead” takes you behind-the-scenes of the show’s prison set, which is where we expect a lot of the season will be taking place, similar to how Hershel’s Farm took over the second season.

This is in keeping with the comics, where Rick and the gang will be spending a heck of a lot of time at the prison, battling undead and living foes alike. No doubt the whole dark, seemingly endless corridors of a blacked out prison should provide plenty of scare moments for the kids. Heck, I wouldn’t be surprise if they stretched it out into two seasons, to be honest with you. There seems to be a lot of potential storytelling here that could surpass an entire season. Of course, that might end up getting old, but we’ll see.

Season 3, starring everyone who survived the end of Season 2, including Andrew Lincoln, Sarah Wayne Callies, Laurie Holden, Steven Yeun, Lauren Cohan, and Norman Reedus, returns October 14th.
