Team Behind 100 Bullets Reunite For Spaceman

Writer Brian Azzarello and illustrator Eduardo Risso, the team behind Vertigo’s Eisner Award-winning pulp/noir comic series “100 Bullets”, announced that they are going to collaborate again. They made the pronouncement at Crack Bang Boom, a new comic convention in Argentina. This time around the duo will tackle “’Spaceman’, a sci-fi comic in the same vein as ‘Blade Runner’”.

There aren’t a lot of details yet about “Spaceman”, but it will be an initial nine-issue run, followed by multiple miniseries. Cover artist Dave Johnson will also be back, as will “100 Bullets” series editor Will Dennis. It’s like a reunion show or an anniversary special.

“Spaceman” will begin the voyage at Vertigo in 2011.
