Teaser Trailer for Gordon Chan’s The Four Will Haunt Your Kung Fu Dreams

Magic, monsters, and martial arts — that’s a damn fine recipe for cinematic bliss, especially when it’s seasoned with a little Anthony Wong. That declaration sounds a lot more deranged than I thought it would, but it’s the only way I know how to adequately describe my excitement for director Gordon Chan’s upcoming kung fu orgasm “The Four”. The teaser is only 60 seconds long, but it’s the best minute you’ll spend watching crap online all week. Trust me.

This synopsis should help explain things a bit:

An undercover agent is assigned by his corrupt chief to infiltrate a rival department and sabotage their investigation of counterfeit currency. What he discovers is the counterfeiter’s real plan. To overthrow the capital. Not by flooding it with funny money, but with an army of undead.

“The Four” stars Colin Chou, Anthony Wong, Crystal Liu, Deng Chao, and Ronald Cheng. Not only does is look spectacular, it sports an impressive cast, as well. Clear you minds and dive head-first into the trailer below. Feel free to stand up scream “Todd was right! That was so freaking awesome!” to no one in particular when you’re done.

Author: Todd Rigney

Todd was raised on a steady diet of Hollywood blockbusters, late-night Cinemax programming, and USA’s “Up All Night,” which may explain why his taste in movies is more than a little questionable. When he isn’t providing news and reviews for Beyond Hollywood, he can be found lounging lazily on his couch, perched in front of his television, or dwelling in places where direct sunlight can be easily avoided. He's happily married, in his 30's, and totally badass. If you'd like to reach Todd, you can follow him on Twitter or send him email/scoops to todd (at) beyondhollywood.com.

Wow. Didn’t know this was even in the works. But it looks good. But then, these trailers always look good.

Looks like a very fun time. Yeah, I didn’t even know anything about this until now. Hope this is good as the trailer makes it out to be. Lately these kind of movies have been letting me down such as, “The Flying Swords of Dragon Gate remake” “A Chinese Ghost Story remake” and “Detective Dee”. I immensely enjoyed “Reign of Assassins” though.
