Let’s face it, giving the power of time travel to a high school teen is like giving Hitler a nuke and asking him not to use it. It ain’t gonna happen! So when things are looking pretty good in Dean Israelite’s “Welcome to Yesterday”, you know it’s only a matter of time before it goes off the rails. The crazy kids are having a blast with their time travel thingie, going into the past, drawing pictures on themselves, falling in love, and winning the lotto. Then they realize time travel has side effects. Like hundreds of people dying in a plane crash. Oops? Suddenly it’s all “Chronicle”-ish, with the boys (and the one totally hot girl) trying to stop disaster.
Check out the first trailer for Israelite’s “Welcome to Yesterday” (originally “Almanac”), a movie I didn’t even know existed until the studio dropped the first trailer today. It’s from producer Michael Bay, or the company that Bay is a part of, anyway.
A group of teens embark on an adventure when they discover secret plans to build a time machine.
Starring Jonny Weston, Sofia Black-D’Elia, Ginny Garnder, Sam Lerner, and Allen Evangelista.
The kids and their time traveling shenanigans commence next year, February 28, 2014.
