According to this new TV spot for Matt Reeves’ “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes” (yeah, not a clunky title at all there, Fox), it looks like we’re pretty much screwed, and it’s all thanks to our need for power and electricity and whatnot. See, cause the apes don’t need those things. Pretty soon, we’ll all be wearing loincloths, even in the winters. Life sucks, then before you know it, an ape is using you to serve drinks at parties.
Check out a new TV spot and poster for “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes” below.
A growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth’s dominant species.
Starring Andy Serkis, Jason Clarke, Gary Oldman, Keri Russell, Toby Kebbell, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Enrique Murciano, Kirk Acevedo, Karin Konoval, and Judy Greer.
The apes take over this July 11th.
