For those of you wondering when Joss Whedon will get back together with the gang and start shooting “The Avengers 2”, wonder no more: it will be early next year. That’s according to Screen Daily.
That’s not too much of a surprise, since the movie is due in 2015, and you’d expect Whedon and company to start production at least a year before the movie is poised to open. In this case, it’ll be a year and a half before the film’s May 1, 2015 release date.
For those of you in the UK, “The Avengers 2” is expected to shoot in Pinewood-Shepperton studios. So if that’s somewhere near where you live, get those cameras ready to snap some shots.
Plot rumors about the sequel are everywhere, but so far nothing has been certain, except that the sequel will launch a more cosmic adventurin’ slate of films for Marvel Studios. That, and the cast from the first movie are all expected back, including Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Robert Downey Jr as Iron Man, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Chris Evans as Captain America, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Cobie Smulders as Maria Hill, and Mark Ruffalo as The Hulk.
And oh, this guy might be in the sequel, too (or maybe not):
