It’s like the “Bourne” films with Matt Damon, minus the pointless shaky cam of Paul Greengrass, the whole amnesia gimmick, and, well, Matt Damon. But other than that, it looks like the same kind of film, which makes sense since writer/director Tony Gilroy had a hand in all three previous entries in the franchise. Teaser trailer and poster below.
In “Legacy”, Renner picks up where Damon left of, as yet another deadly operative in the highly dubious Operation Treadstone program. From the looks of things, ol Renner isn’t much to look at at first, but that changes and he becomes an uber killer. Of course, this doesn’t seem to stop Edward Norton from trying to kill him anyway. Oh, Edward. By the way, watching Edward Norton in a suit and tie and playing an officious bad guy is really, really strange.
Also starring Rachel Weisz, Edward Norton, Albert Finney, Joan Allen, Scott Glenn, Stacy Keach, and Oscar Isaac.
Reborn again August 3, 2012.
