The Bugle’s J.J. Jameson Talks Spidey 4
Comic Book Movie News, Spider-Man 4 (2011) Movie — By Nix on February 20, 2008
As painful as “Spider-Man 3″ was at times, there were always those fantastic scenes with J. K. Simmons, who plays J.J. Jameson, the publisher of the Daily Bugle, that kept me grinning like a fool. I’ve noticed that throughout the three films, I always look forward to those great moments in Jameson’s office in the Bugle. So what about a “Spider-Man 4″? Simmons has some thoughts.
More:
Brazilian Judão chatted up actor J.K. Simmons who plays J. Jonah Jameson in the Spidey flicks about part 4 of the series with Simmons noting, “”There’s talking and talking, on the character, on the possible movie. I’ve received several calls. But nothing firm on that. [...] I do expect to be on the fourth movie, though. I hope so. I’m really able to do it and will be great playing that character again.”
Of course he’ll be in part 4 when it finally gets made. Not having J.J. Jameson (as played by Simmons) in a Spider-Man movie is like not having, well, Spider-Man.
Now if they can toss aside the now-utterly-useless Mary Jane Watson, that would be swell, too…
