The Cannibals are Getting Hungry in the Green Inferno Teaser

The Green Inferno (2013) Movie Image

The thing that intrigues me the most about the first teaser trailer for director Eli Roth’s upcoming cannibal opus “The Green Inferno” is the quote they decided to use. Although Killer Film believes that nothing can prepare you for this film, the person who wrote that line has obviously never watched an Italian cannibal flick. Because that’s what “The Green Inferno” is — a re-tread of the subgenre. Roth is essentially the Quentin Tarantino of horror at this point. Of course, you might disagree.

Roth’s tale follows a group of activists who head to the Amazon jungle to check up on a dying tribe. Unfortunately for our attractive heroes, they end up as a recipe in the native’s cookbook. Blood and gore ensues. If that sounds like fun to you, then Open Road Films wants you to catch “The Green Inferno” in theaters on September 5, 2014.

Take a juicy bite out of the teaser trailer below.

Todd was raised on a steady diet of Hollywood blockbusters, late-night Cinemax programming, and USA’s “Up All Night,” which may explain why his taste in movies is more than a little questionable. When he isn’t providing news and reviews for Beyond Hollywood, he can be found lounging lazily on his couch, perched in front of his television, or dwelling in places where direct sunlight can be easily avoided. He's happily married, in his 30's, and totally badass. If you'd like to reach Todd, you can follow him on Twitter or send him email/scoops to todd (at)

Essentially the Tarantino of horror? Common man his movies are decent but that’s about it. Seems like a fun ride though.
