After seeing this movie i can guarantee that it one of my best 5 of 2008. great movie, excellent directing, editing and filming. Besides I’m glad that It’s not the monster above.

Wow you guys are dense it is not fan art that is what the monster looks like when its fully grown. In the first movie it is a BABY!!. If they make a sequel it will most likely look like that .

Well its a very… um, I don’t want to say it but I will anyway. It’s cute! I am a lover of whales and having some terrifying monster being a huge alien like baleen whale just makes me giggle, want to hug it and then cure it of its lice infestation!

I’m a big monster fan but, This movie didn’t delever anything good. OK there were some sence with the monster and a couple with it’s smaller ones but, Most of it was with those idiots running around with thier heads chopped off! Next time when they do a movie like that, “Give it a useful plot with better monster sences!

that picture of the monster isnt how it looks like i have the movie it doesnt look a whale it looks like some skinny 4 legged creature and the parasites have big jaws and they dont look like crabs

ok that doesnt even look like the cloverfield monster and the thiings that attack them in the subway looked like the spider like things off of starship troopers here is my review
i just saw the movie on dvd and it was a pretty good movie other then then the fact that everyone of the main charecters die and that it remeinded my of godzilla so i give it a 3/5

Hmm… I was looking for a good interpretation of the Cloverfield monster and all I can find is this decomposing whale thing. So, why is this picture everywhere when it looks just about 98% incorrect (including louse and size)?

*this is a pretty good movie spoiling spoiler, last chance to not ruin a good movie*

in the second Cloverfield (if the second is going to be continueing the first) it is said that a second monster appears! it is also said that after things get really hard for the government, a third is coming into the scene. im not sure if Rob and everyone else will be in the second one. why? because if they died, they could still continue on with that one girl in the movie who survived (remember in the end when she got sent on a seperate helicopter and then it didnt show her again.) you can look up the second movie at http://www.imdb.com. you just have to type in Cloverfield and it will show a list of movies and the sequal will be one of them.

There has been hints of a sequal by the director. He mentioned in an interview that they put a slight (but noticeable) focus on another man with a video camera. (If you look closely during the bridge scene, the man is holding the camera in the air as the tail strikes it.) J.J. hinted to this man in an interview recently, therefore it is rumored that the sequal will follow his point of view, and will overlap at the bridge scene (A very clever idea in my opinion), and then continue on from his perspective. (Possibly revealing more about what is going on than the perspective of Rob and his friends gave.

I saw the film today, and the monster looked nothing like that. Plus, the monster lice were about the size of a large dog (German shepherd, maybe a st bernard), NOT man-size! if they were, the characters probably wouldn’t have been able to fight them off in the tunnel.
