Or is that more, “The handsome, eternally young looking uncle arrives”? Anyways, films like Park Chan-wook’s Hollywood debut “Stoker” puts me in a tough spot. I’m not sure how much about the movie to reveal, because having covered the film throughout its development up to now, its first trailer review, it’s very obvious the official synopsis and trailer isn’t telling you everything. But far be it from me to spoil things, so here it is, the first trailer for “Stoker”. If you want to know more about it, you can always read some of our past articles on the movie. If what you see below is good enough, then so be it.

After India’s (Wasikowska’s) father dies in an auto accident, her Uncle Charlie (Goode), who she never knew existed, comes to live with her and her emotionally unstable mother Evelyn (Kidman). Soon after his arrival, she comes to suspect this mysterious, charming man has ulterior motives, but instead of feeling outrage or horror, this friendless girl becomes increasingly infatuated with him.

“Stoker” stars Mia Wasikowska, Matthew Goode, Dermot Mulroney, Jacki Weaver, Nicole Kidman, Lucas Till, Alden Ehrenreich, and arrives in theaters March 1, 2013.

God I hope this is as good as that trailer looks. This looks right up Park Chan-wook’s alley.
