The Dark Knight Rises Teaser Trailer Remix with the Animated Series

Fanboys and free time. What CAN’T they come up with?

Here’s the latest: someone has cut the audio from the teaser trailer from Christopher Nolan’s “The Dark Knight Rises” to scenes from the long-running “Batman: The Animated Series”. It’s insanely well done, to be sure, and for anyone who hasn’t given the animated series a try, they really should, it was some of the best thing on TV back in its day. For a while there, before Nolan’s “Batman” movies, it was THE best Batman stuff out there.

For those who might have missed the actual “Dark Knight Rises” teaser trailer, head over here.

As soon as I saw this I was like the BH boys need to get aload of this! BTAS really was the definitive Batman for a long time. I originally hated that they put a mouth and nose hole on Bane’s mask and turned it into a Luchadore mask but then again it makes sense as Bane was South American. And the more Bane they gave me the more I liked him. This was an awesome lil piece of work.

I completely agree about BTAS being the essential go to Batman. Dark, edgy and true to the material. Before Begins the closest thing to an according to Hoyle Batman story was the 89 film. I was also getting my Bat-Fix from The Thomas Crown Affair, The Shadow and later Daredevil.

Equilibrium too. Wizard called the best portrayal of Batman in a non-Batman movie. And I too love me some Crowne, Shadow and even DD (directors cut, but I own both).

        Sent on the go.

Bring back BTAS (the original version, skip the pointy re-mixed later years)!
