The Dark Knight Will Start Rising in Summer 2011

According to Michael Caine, Christopher Nolan’s “The Dark Knight Rises”, his third “Batman Begins” film, will be shooting by Summer 2011 after scripts are delivered to the cast and crew sometime in early 2011. And Caine should know, being that he’s a Nolan buddy and he’ll also be reprising Alfred in the Batman universe to Christian Bale’s Bruce Wayne.

Says Caine:

Emma [Thomas], the producer, said we’d get the script in January. Christopher said: ‘Script in January, shoot in May, finish in November.’

He adds:

Christopher is the most secretive guy in the world, he won’t tell you anything.

After scoring a gazillion with “The Dark Knight” and nearly a gazillion more with “Inception”, Nolan can afford to be as secretive as he wants. Hell, he even told Warner Bros. to stuff their plans for a 3D Batman movie. Tell me who else has that kind of juice in Hollywood right now?
