I’ve been shamelessly pimping Jackie Chan’s 100th flick “1911” on this site for quite some time now, so it’s kind of nice that the first teaser for the upcoming epic has finally made its presence known on the IntraWebs. Curious parties who have been, um, curious about the production finally have a chance to sample the glory, though I suspect that some may be a little upset that his 100th endeavor doesn’t find him jumping off buildings or kicking someone into a giant fan. Even I’m a little disappointed, but I’m not willing to look a gift horse in the mouth.
For those who missed it, here’s what the film is all about:
Starring Chan and co-directed by the star and Zhang Li, 1911 tells the story of the founding of the Republic of China when Sun Yat-sen’s forces overthrew the Ming Dynasty. Sun is played by look-alike Chinese actor Zhao Wen Xuan. Li Bingbing and Joan Chen also star. The film started shooting in September and will be released in October 2011.
Thanks to WellGo USA, Chan fanatics living in the States will be able to enjoy the flick on the exact same day it’s released in China. Nice! But enough about that nonsense. After all, you’re here for that teaser. It’s embedded below.
