If you saw the “Arrow” Season 2 finale earlier today, then you saw this minute-long trailer (though it’s not really a trailer, more like a promo spot) for the CW’s upcoming superhero show “The Flash.” The two shows will, of course, exist in the same universe, and in case you didn’t now that when The Flash himself (aka Barry Allen) showed up in “Arrow” earlier this year, this TV spot is all about Arrow and The Flash teaming up.

Well, sort of.

After a particle accelerator causes a freak storm, CSI Investigator Barry Allen is struck by lightning and falls into a coma. Months later he awakens with the power of super speed, granting him the ability to move through Central City like an unseen guardian angel. Though initially excited by his newfound powers, Barry is shocked to discover he is not the only “meta-human” who was created in the wake of the accelerator explosion — and not everyone is using their new powers for good. Barry partners with S.T.A.R. Labs and dedicates his life to protect the innocent. For now, only a few close friends and associates know that Barry is literally the fastest man alive, but it won’t be long before the world learns what Barry Allen has become…The Flash.

Starring Gustin, along with Tom Cavanagh, Rick Cosnett, Michelle Harrison, Jesse L. Martin, Danielle Panabaker, Candice Patton, Chad Rook, Al Sapienza, and John Wesley Shipp.

Looks like a late 2014 premiere for the scarlet speedster.

Even in action, I’m STILL not ‘Sold’ on that suit… even the suit from the 90s “The Flash” TV show looked better?

    • Juggernaut

I agree. Not feeling the suit entirely. It’s too baggy or something. I did like the flashes of lightning while he was running though! Hoping this show is as good as I want it to be.

I agree the suit looks to baggy. He couldn’t gain any weight or get a tighter suit???? But anywho, I’m still looking forward to it.

I like the suit. It’s baggy where it needs to be, where the most movement is. had it been tight spandex it would’ve looked kinda ridiculous plus wouldn’t stand up to the friction, and if it was all leather or whatever it’d be too tight, and restrictive for a runner. Loved the 90′s show but I was surprised he could run at all in that thing. It always seemed too rigid for me.

Looks good. the effects are very nice for tv, and will probably get better by air time. Mid season should bring a multi episode crossover.

    Worst intro song ever!
