D.C. and Warner Bros.’ latest original direct-to-DVD animated movie “Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox” features a superhero we haven’t really seen take center stage in these movies before — the Flash. Usually the Flash is kind of a background character in these Justice League films, with Superman and Batman getting all the love. Not this time, though, especially when the title of the movie has Flash in it! (Though it would kind of suck if he did get shortchanged again even in a movie with his name in the title.)
Check out the first trailer for “Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox”, which is based on another comic book arc from D.C. comics. This one by Geoff Johns and Adam Kubert, and is directed by D.C. animated movies veteran Jay Oliva.
When time travel allows a past wrong to be righted for Flash and his family, the event’s temporal ripples prove disastrous, creating a fractured, alternate reality where the Justice League never formed, and even Superman is nowhere to be found. Amidst a new world being ravaged by a fierce war between Wonder Woman’s Amazons and Aquaman’s Atlanteans, Flash must team with a grittier, more violent Batman and government agent Cyborg to restore the continuity of Flash’s original timeline.
Featuring the voices of Justin Chambers, Kevin McKidd, Michael B. Jordan, C. Thomas Howell, Nathan Fillion, Ron Perlman, Dana Delany, Cary Elwes, Danny Huston, Sam Daly and Kevin Conroy.
Speeding onto DVD/Blu-ray this July 30, 2013.
