The Forbidden Kingdom Movie Trailer!

Written by Nix | November 15th, 2007 | 1 Comment |

Wow, how long has it been since I heard about this monumental team-up between two of Asia’s most exciting martial arts star? Years, it seems. Hopes were high, but they were quickly dashed by those asinine posts by the always inane Jackie Chan via his blog about how the movie will probably suck, which, of course, damp a lot of spirits. But hey, Jackie has always talked out of his ass, so maybe he was doing it again. One could only hope. “The Forbidden Kingdom” has since finished up production, and is currently in post. Someone has cut the trailer, and here it is for your viewing pleasure. Quick observation: Holy crap, there is a TON of action in this thing.

A discovery made by a kung fu obsessed American teen sends him on an adventure to China, where he joins up with a band of martial arts warriors in order to free the imprisoned Monkey King.

Starring Jet Li, Jackie Chan, Michael Angarano, Collin Chou, Yifei Liu, and Bingbing Li, and directed by Rob Minkoff.

Abandon the kingdom April 18th, 2008.

(Thanks to Don for the heads up)

It’s not like he’s saying things he doesn’t really mean…I do think he honestly feels that way…and honestly his feelings are so not tied to reality…he just HOLDS himself to such a high standard…the guy puts so much pressure on himself…to OUTDO himself!!! haha…I can relate because I’m an Aries too…and I am not only competitive with others but MYSELF! hah…so yeah, I feel bad for the guy…who never gives a break to himself…he probably feels disappointed because he’s not emotionally satisfied…though I’m sure he’s just being too hard on himself…maybe if he had a hand in directing or something…more to his “aspirations”…though it’s nice to see he’s ambitious and not just willing to settle for “this” since he feels he’s capable still of OFFERING more to the world…which is highly Admirable and Commendable as well…PUheast!
