After a leaked Red Band Trailer that may or may not have been on purpose (that sure was a nicely shot “leak” there, David Fincher), and a green band trailer that was subsequently pulled off YouTube, the nice folks at Sony Pictures have finally released an official trailer for Fincher’s upcoming remake of the crime thriller “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo”. One thing’s for sure: Sony must be very happy right now, because I’m sure they are beaming over the attention their little remake has gotten. The film has buzz aplenty, as they say.
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is the first film in Columbia Pictures’ three-picture adaptation of Stieg Larsson’s literary blockbuster The Millennium Trilogy. Directed by David Fincher and starring Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara, the film is based on the first novel in the trilogy, which altogether have sold 50 million copies in 46 countries and become a worldwide phenomenon. The screenplay is by Steven Zaillian.
Starring Daniel Craig, Rooney Mara, Christopher Plummer, Stellan Skarsgård , Steven Berkoff, Robin Wright, Yorick van Wageningen, and Joely Richardson.
The feel bad film of the year arrives December 21, 2011.
