Remember Christopher Lambert? The original star of “Highlander”? Yeah, him. Well, he’s not dead. I know, you probably thought he was dead, too, seeing as how he hasn’t really done much since, um, for a while now, I guess.
Anyways, Lambert has resurfaced via a Highlander facebook page (via Moviehole) to say that he’s currently “in talks to do Ghost Rider 2 with Nicolas Cage”, though no other details were given. Keep in mind, though, that this is second-hand news from someone reporting that this is something Lambert said. So…
In any case, here’s hoping Lambert gets back in the saddle. According to IMDB.com, he’s been busying himself with a variety of French movies and TV work, but it’s been a while since he did anything that’s made it back to the States. As one of his longtime fans, hopefully this is a career resurgence.
And frankly, if he doesn’t get any kind of a cameo (if not a longer appearance) in the “Highlander” reboot, it’ll be a crying shame.
