Those crazy kids Peeta and Katniss are back to save the universe in Francis Lawrence’s “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1,” the first of the franchise’s two-part finale. The movies, of course, will be based on Suzanne Collins’ third book in her dystopian trilogy, since cut up into two parts because, well, these movies are making a bajillion dollars, and why wouldn’t you want to squeeze as much cash out of them as you could before it’s all over? Exactamundo.

Check out the teaser poster for “Mockinjay Part 1,” featuring Katniss’ pendant come to life — and trying to eat your face! (Or not.)

In the next chapter of the highly-anticipated series, we follow heroine Katniss Everdeen’s journey as she leads the districts of Panem in a rebellion against the tyrannical and corrupt Capitol. As the war that will determine the fate of Panem escalates, Katniss must decipher for herself who she can trust and what needs to be done, with everything she cares for in the balance.

Starring Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Jena Malone, Sam Claflin, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Jeffrey Wright, Julianne Moore, Philip Seymour Hoffman, and Donald Sutherland.

The mockingjay flies this November 21, 2014.

Can’t wait! Catching Fire was awesome and I’m really exited to see the next installment.

A few completely unrelated observations that I thought of while watching Catching Fire:

Josh Hutcherson would make a perfect Dick Grayson to Ben Affleck’s Batman in the upcoming Superman/Batman movie
and Phillip Seymour Hoffman would be perfect for the inevitable role of Dr. Octopuss in an Amazing Spider-Man sequel.

Woody Harrelson would be a good Sabretooth for a rebooted X-Men film series too.

Uh no. Normally I 100% agree with you but he’s just not right. helluva actor, but Sabretooth with that accent (cause I really haven’t seen him lose it) would just kill me. Jason Mamoa would rock the part.

Hutcherson would be a decent Nightwing. Always liked him for Peter Parker/Spiderman and they are similar. Hoffman would make a bettet Penguin than Doc Ock, but that said he’s not a bad choice either.
