The Hunger Games Will be the Biggest Movie Since Movies

I ain’t gonna lie — I’m looking forward to this one. So much so that I don’t even mind all the PR attempts to convince you that not seeing “The Hunger Games” when it opens on March 23rd is the same as telling people you’re a secret Al-Qaeda terrorist sleeper agent. Here’s the latest TV spot for the Gary Ross film. A flash or two of new footage here, I think, including a look at the room where the Gamemakers do their thing. That, I think, will be one of the movie’s main draw — whereas you didn’t see anything beyond what Katniss sees in the books (which is very limited), the movies will let you see how the Games are actually run. Should be interesting.

The event of the year stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Stanley Tucci, Donald Sutherland, Lenny Kravitz, Wes Bentley, Toby Jones, Amandla Stenberg, Alexander Ludwig, Isabelle Fuhrman, Jacqueline Emerson, Paula Malcomson, Dayo Okeniyi, Jack Quaid, Leven Rambin, and Willow Shields.

And just to make sure all the young folks see this thing on opening day, Lionsgate has already announced that they’re attaching the first teaser trailer for “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2″ in front of the movie. Yes, those movies are still not over yet, my friends. But they will be soon, soon…

I have EN-OH idea what this movie is about. I’m even more lost on why is such a big deal.

That being said, I’m gonna watch this on opening day. If I’m not completely thrilled… watch your arse, Nix… He!

It looks interesting. Better than the book at least, which I didn’t even make it through.

i dont know about all that — i mean a solid 200 million teen movie possibly but its no titanic or avatar or dark knight

I don’t get why everyone is excited about this. Nothing I’ve seen appears that interesting. At first I thought it was just The Running Man played straight.

I’ll likely have to see it, dragged along by the girlfriend (though given the stuff I’ve made her tag along too, I suppose I can’t complain), but anticipation is at zero, nearing the negatives.

People are fucking stupid, read the books its fantastic, i am excited for the movie because the book was so great and theres no denying that. even if the book may be better than the movie thats usually how it is.

I just can’t get excited about this one. I enjoyed the first book, and I’m interested to see how this one shakes out on-screen, but there’s no way I’ll see it in theaters. Instead, I’ll just save my money for the three-disc “Battle Royale” set that’s scheduled to hit at the end of the month.

the 1st book held my interest till i was half through , than I couldn’t continue. Its clearly written for Teenagers..I tried hard, because some of my friends convinced me its good ,( I figured that they are in desperate need of something new ) and now , having seen Jennifer taking of her clothes in some Magazines I’m not going to watch this till its free at my libery.

Folks, I came across this program called JCopia (http://www.jiteco.com/jcopia.html), that seems to do just the trick. It is an actual stream grabber, so no encoding of the display. Works like a charm on a non-standard site I visited, that has a video that was deployed through a custom flash front-end. I was surprisingly impressed. The software even has a free-trial period. May it be of use to some of you guys too.
