The Last Airbender Kids Strike a Pose in Two New Posters

Paramount has released two new posters for “The Last Airbender” featuring stars Noah Ringer and Dev Patel, playing Aang and Zuko, respectively. Written and directed by M. Night Shyamalan, “The Last Airbender” is based on the Nickelodeon cartoon “Avatar: The Last Airbender” and follows the adventures of Aang, a young successor to a long line of Avatars, who must put his childhood ways aside and stop the Fire Nation from enslaving the Water, Earth and Air nations. Plus, he’s got two dates for the prom, and you know what that means. Hijinx ensue!

Get bending July 2, 2010.

Update: A third poster has been released that combines the first two.

Looks quite nice if you ask me.

Yeah I know that Aang isn’t asian and some people including me get a little antsy when people go too far with races being white people colored to look another nationality, but i think this is being done very tastefully. It is in no way comparable to other movies that go overboard with racial disregard.

Good job M Night I cant wait to see this. posters are absolutely boss.

it’s more like good job graphic and key art designers.

You can put lipstick on a pig but it’s still a pig. In this case, it’s in a douchebag who has been having flops at the box office and now is looking for a sure thing. It’s no different than other movies that go overboard with racial disregard. And the funny thing about it all, Indians are considered Asians in America. Way to stand up for your people M. Night.

This is the film that strikes my curiosity the most this year..i have no idea what to think! BTW people need to chill the fuck out nowadays, especially the people that leave shit on this site..i mean people get butt hurt so easily over the littelest things..smoke some green and chill out.

    • Tommy

Eh, people need to stop smoking hippie lettuce and understand why things shouldn’t be swept under the rug so easily. If you’re too lazy to even bother…well, that’s what the dope does.

      • europa78

        hahah!

either way, only real fans of the show would care about the integrity of it. asians and people concerned with racial equality and the injustices of Hollywood racebending would care also. it’s no surprise that folks who have no stake in either of these viewpoints couldn’t give to shits about it.

each to their own, but i think that it can be agreed that it’s not a good thing when Hollyweird takes a good thing and totally f*cks it up for the rest of us just to make profit.

To be honest I think they should continue the anime version of it. This movie looks like a disaster. It jumbles the entire 3 seasons into a 2 hours movie. In full honesty I'm pretty sure it's going to be a fail production. The one thing I NEED to know is what happened to Zuko's mother…..

quick typo fix into a 2 hours movie lawls
