The Latest Speed Racer Trailer is Cute

Good God, isn’t this already the, what, 20th movie trailer for “Speed Racer” that the Wachowski brothers have sent out our way? Luckily for them, it’s a bloody damn good trailer. There are a couple of really cute sequences, most of them involving Speed as a kid daydreaming about winning races. Funny and cute. How could you get better? Oh yeah, there are also all those crazy, acid-dropping races to take in. Seriously, this thing is going to be off the hook, as the kids say. (Kids still say that, right?)

Based on the classic 1960’s Japanese animated series chronicling the aspirations of a young race car driver as he attempts to obtain glory, with the help of his family and the Mach 5, the advanced car created by his father.
