The latest name to be thrown into the “Spider-Man” reboot ring is that of young Mister Josh Hutcherson (below). What, you’ve never heard of Hutcherson? Me, neither. But apparently despite being still the young buck, he’s already got a pretty extensive resume, which basically means the kid has been acting since he was a tot. Some of his movies include “Journey to the Center of the Earth” and “Cirque du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant”, and he’s one of the Wolverines of the “Red Dawn” remake.
According to IESB, Hutcherson has now found himself on the short list of actors Sony is considering for their “Spider-Man” reboot, to be directed by Marc Webb. The Hutchster hasn’t made an impression on me yet, but he is only 18, so he would be age-appropriate for the role. Plus, he’s just “unknown” enough to not cost too much.
In any case, wouldn’t it be funny if Sony ended up casting Logan Lerman despite all denials that he was even being considered? Well, at least I think it would be pretty amusing.
