The Living Dead Return to Italy in Marco Ristori and Luca Boni’s Eaters

Don’t let the “Uwe Boll Presents” graphic throw you off — Marco Ristori and Luca Boni’s upcoming Italian zombie epic “Eaters” looks seriously badass. And when I say seriously badass, I mean SERIOUSLY badass. It certainly looks a lot more entertaining than the limp-wristed living dead snoozers George Romero has been dumping on the masses as of late, though, to be perfectly honest, that really isn’t saying too much. But, I digress. The embedded trailer is definitely an adrenaline rush, and should provide zombie junkies with more than enough splatter to satisfy those unnatural urges that keep you up into the wee hours of the morning. Needless to say, I’m overly excited about the project.

Here’s what it’s all about:

After being devastated by a deadly epidemic, the world is now governed by hordes of living dead. Locked in a fortress that has been turned into a research center and shelter, three men – zombie hunters Igor and Alen and a scientist named Gyno – are trying to find an answer to what has happened to the human race.

No release date has been set, but you can rest assured we’ll have the scoop as soon as one has been set in stone. Until then, yummy down on the clip below. All sorts of love to Dread Central for the clip and the poster. Kudos!

About Todd Rigney

View all Posts

Todd was raised on a steady diet of Hollywood blockbusters, late-night Cinemax programming, and USA’s “Up All Night,” which may explain why his taste in movies is more than a little questionable. When he isn’t providing news and reviews for Beyond Hollywood, he can be found lounging lazily on his couch, perched in front of his television, or dwelling in places where direct sunlight can be easily avoided. He's happily married, in his 30's, and totally badass. If you'd like to reach Todd, you can follow him on Twitter or send him email/scoops to todd (at)

Very nice cinematography in the trailer. The poster makes it look cheap as shit, though.

The poster definitely makes it feel like an “Uwe Boll Presents” flick. Good trailer, wonky poster.
