Check out a new trailer for Phil Lord’s and Christopher Miller’s “22 Jump Street,” the movie that will have you believing in higher education. Or something like that. Unless, of course, you’re 30-seomthing cops going undercover, which I hear is pretty cool, too. What, you’ve never done? It actually looks pretty funny. Then again, the first movie was pretty funny, too, and I suspect this one is going to clean up house at the box office.
I’m personally looking forward to the cameos from the old “21 Jump Street” gang. Who didn’t love the WTF cameos from the first movie?
After making their way through high school (twice), big changes are in store for officers Schmidt and Jenko when they go deep undercover at a local college. But when Jenko meets a kindred spirit on the football team, and Schmidt infiltrates the bohemian art major scene, they begin to question their partnership. Now they don’t have to just crack the case – they have to figure out if they can have a mature relationship. If these two overgrown adolescents can grow from freshmen into real men, college might be the best thing that ever happened to them.
Starring Jonah Hill, Channing Tatum, Nick Offerman, Dave Franco, Rob Riggle with Ice Cube.
Matriculatin’ this June 13th.
