The New Knight Rider KITT is a Mustang…

And it looks like the pictures below (scroll down now to see it). It’s actually a Ford Shelby GT500KR Mustang, black, of course, with two vertical white stripes on the hood. According to Jalopnik, this is the actual car that will be showing up in the new Knight Rider TV show. Now I’m not a car guy, so I have no idea what the original KITT was, and I’m not attached enough to the old TV show to really mind or not mind the new version of KITT, but I do know there are actually fans of the old show who may be a little mad they changed the car.

The original KITT was a Pontiac TransAm…this version is decidedly cooler. Yet, as a fan of the show, I did love the old KITT.
While i have been a fan from teh start i do feel that the Mustang doesnt suit the role but who knows till its on the screen.
Would love it if they got the original KITT voice.
