The Pacific’s Joe Mazzello Enlists in G.I. Joe 2

Add another recruit to Jon Chu’s growing cast of “G.I. Joe: Cobra Strikes” — Joe Mazzello, who played shell-shocked soldier Eugene Sledge in “The Pacific” mini-series on HBO, will be playing Mouse, a role that, apparently, lots of young Hollywood studs were up for.

All I could find about Mouse is here, where it’s mentioned that Mouse is “a Screaming Eagles character from the Sgt. Savage and his Screaming Eagles series.”

Mazzello joins returning Joes Channing Tatum and Ray Park, and Cobra Byung-hun Lee, with new castmembers Dwayne Johnson, Elodie Yung, RZA, D.J. Catrona, Ray Stevenson, and Adrianne Palicki.

Maybe he’ll be playing Tunnel Rat. I don’t recall a character named mouse from the 80’s cartoon. I’m admittadly not too familiar with the comics and more recent cartoon though so there could be a character named Mouse???
