The Predator/Alien Hybrid (Predalian) from AVP2 is Revealed

Written by Nix | October 26th, 2007 | 0 Comments |

You know, for some reason I’m very excited to see “Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem”, the sequel to Paul W.S. Anderson’s “AVP” from a few years ago. I don’t really know why. Sure, I’m a fan of both the Predator and Alien franchises, but I really wasn’t all that satisfied with the first AVP. (If you know my history with Paul W.S. Anderson films, you wouldn’t be surprise to hear that.) The sequel promises a lot more action and, as the title implies, a lot more aliens and predators going at it. And yes, it’ll also showcase the first Predator/Alien hybrid — the Predalian! Or maybe they’ll call it something else, I don’t know. In any case, USAToday has done a First Look feature on the movie and they’ve included a picture of the Predalian (thumbnail to your left, bigger version below).

What do you get when you cross an Alien with a Predator?

Either a bad joke or a box-office hit.

Colin and Greg Strause are hoping for the latter as they tackle Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem, the sequel to the 2004 hit. It opens Christmas Day with the tagline “There will be no peace on Earth.”

You already know the story by now: Aliens and Predators use Earth as their private arena, humans get in the way — kill, slay, etc etc.

The boys attack December 25th, 2007.
