The Punisher No Mercy FPS Game Trailers and Screenshots

No one frags’em like the Punisher, so it was only a matter of time before someone got the bright idea to spin the popular comic book character turned not-really-popular movie franchise into a videogame. I’m not sure if turning it into a First-Person Shooter is the way to go, since if you can’t see the character, it’s sort of hard to believe you’re him running and gunning through the game. Doesn’t that sort of defeats the purpose of being a famous character? Then again, the game is designed for online multiplayer on the Playstation network, so maybe imagining yourself as the Punisher isn’t the point. It’s all about the fragging, right?

If you don’t have a Playstation 3, you’re out of luck, because “No Mercy” is going exclusively to the console as a downloadable game. According to this, the game will become available tomorrow, July 2nd for a one-time $9.99 download fee. Players will get to choose their shooter of choice from the Punisher himself to his Rogues gallery of Jigsaw, Bushwacker, and Barracuda. And for some of you girls (and confused boys) out there, there’s also the mercenary Silver Sable.

The game will utilize the Unreal Engine 3 as its engine of choice. Check out screenshots and trailers for the game below.
