Don’t hate me for saying this (yeah, like that’s gonna work), but it seems like nowadays the only reason to watch “The Simpsons” is for the clever opening sequences. The show itself? Eh. There’s only so much you can do with a show that’s in its 25th season, that won’t feel like you’re just repeating yourself or stretching it for the sake of treading water, after all. (25 seasons! Damn, the time sure has flown…)
“The Simpsons'” latest opening sequence has Homer and company (as well as the entire town of Springfield) hamming up the title for HBO’s “Game of Thrones”. “GoT” fans should get a kick out of this. At least, it’ll keep them satiated until the show returns on April 1st. And oh yeah, this spanking new trailer for “Game of Thrones” may help, too.
For comparison’s sake, here’s the original title sequence for “Game of Thrones”:’
