The (Sorta) Grown Ups Are Back for Part 2. Hilarity (Sorta) Ensues.

For some unfathomable reason the first “Grown Ups” movie in 2010 cost $80 million to make. Most of that, of course, went to the film’s superstar comedian salaries. The original ended up grossing $270 million worldwide, which, of course, automatically means sequel. Three years later, the grown ups are back in “Grown Ups 2”, the trailer for which you can see below.

If you thought the first movie was the funniest thing ever, then you’ll probably think the same about the sequel. It has all the characters and actors back, and is essentially the same movie. If you didn’t care all that much for the first movie, then you’re probably not going to care all that much for the sequel and should make your movie theater going plans accordingly.

The all-star comedy cast from Grown Ups returns (with some exciting new additions) for more summertime laughs. Lenny (Adam Sandler) has relocated his family back to the small town where he and his friends grew up. This time around, the grown ups are the ones learning lessons from their kids on a day notoriously full of surprises: the last day of school.

Starring Adam Sandler, Steve Buscemi, Taylor Lautner, Salma Hayek, Maria Bello, Milo Ventimiglia, Kevin James, Andy Samberg, Aly Michalka, David Henrie, David Spade, Jackie Sandler, Chris Rock, Alexander Ludwig and Maya Rudolph.

Directed by Dennis Dugan, the grown ups return this July 13, 2013.
