David Ayer’s action movie “Ten” may be doubling down on its Terminators. With the original Terminator, Arnold Schwarzenegger attached to star in the film when it was announced back in May, “Ten” is now in talks with “Terminator Salvation” star Sam Worthington to join the cast.
The Ayer-directed film would find the two former Terminators playing members of “an elite DEA task force that robs a dangerous drug cartel under the guise of a tactical raid on one of its safe houses. They think they’ve gotten away with millions in merch, until team members begin getting bumped off one by one.”
The film was written by Skip Woods (“Swordfish”) and is said to be “a testosterone-heavy riff on Agatha Christie’s ‘Ten Little Indians.’” Gee, I hope that’s not really the case, because I sorta already read that story, and know who the killer is/was…
Apparently Worthington “plans to accept, provided his reps can make the financial details work.” I.e. if the money is right.
Ayer, who has the gritty police drama “End of Watch” coming up, will direct the actioner for QED International, with Open Road Films taking care of domestic distribution.
