Six Gary Daniels Movies That Will Knock Your Teeth Out

# 6. Spoiler (1998)

Director Jeff Burr’s melodramatic sci-fi actioner finds Daniels portraying an innocent man who finds himself incarcerated in a futuristic prison known as “The Icebox”, where he is subjected to an array of suitably futuristic tortures. His depressingly futile attempts to escape, combined with the plethora of weak performances, make for a surprisingly dark and dreary viewing experience. Daniels seems strangely miscast as the picture’s tormented hero, and the film suffers because of it. What’s more, there aren’t very many action sequences to found, and the movie tends to drag from time-to-time. It’s inclusion on this list is highly questionable, though it brilliantly illustrates why Gary Daniels excels in productions which feature action over acting. You can’t blame the guy for trying to expand his cinematic horizons.

Author: Todd Rigney

Todd was raised on a steady diet of Hollywood blockbusters, late-night Cinemax programming, and USA’s “Up All Night,” which may explain why his taste in movies is more than a little questionable. When he isn’t providing news and reviews for Beyond Hollywood, he can be found lounging lazily on his couch, perched in front of his television, or dwelling in places where direct sunlight can be easily avoided. He's happily married, in his 30's, and totally badass. If you'd like to reach Todd, you can follow him on Twitter or send him email/scoops to todd (at) beyondhollywood.com.

Yeah, finally someone give the dude credit. :-) BTW is was pretty much shocked when I´ve seen Daniels alongside Ray Liotta and Andy Garcia in the crime thriller/drama “La lines” aka “the Line”. Ok, alongside may to big of a word, but he had a nice little role as a mobster henchmen (no martial arts in this one, just a shootout). And as far as I´ve seen he will be in the next Wesley Snipes flic “game of death” as well. This guy seems to be on a roll lately and I can´t wait to see him in “the expendables”.
