Who needs “Star Wars” or “The Lord of the Rings” extended editions on Blu-ray when the latest installment of director Uwe Boll’s “Bloodrayne” franchise is set to smother you with its awesomeness on July 5th, 2011. It really is Christmas in July! All kidding aside, I suppose the films have their fans. And I guess you could say that I’m one of them. It’s not my proudest moments, folks, but I find them to be endlessly entertaining, albeit hopelessly inept. That having been said, you can’t beat a motion picture that features both Clint Howard and Michael Pare? Take that, George Lucas!
Before you eyeball the artwork, read this synopsis:
Half-vampire, half-human, Rayne hides in the shadows slaughtering vampires and those that get in her way. In 1943 Europe, during World War II, Rayne faces her greatest foe, a growing army of undead Nazi soldiers led by Ekart Brand, a top Nazi official turned day-walker. Rayne must team up with a group of resistance fighters to defeat Brand and his vampire army before they reach Berlin to grant Hitler immortality.
If curiosity gets the best of you, feel free to take a look at the official trailer. Otherwise, the DVD and Blu-ray artwork are ready for your perusal.
