The Walking Dead has Already Gotten a Season 2 Commitment?

There’s no rest for the weary. Or, er, the dead.

Horror site Fangoria recently got word “from a crew source” on the show that production on the second season of the not-yet-aired AMC show is already set for February of 2011. The show’s 6-episode first season is scheduled to air on October night this year.

If true, then AMC appears to be digging all the hype and fanboy love they’re getting on the show. You don’t usually associate AMC with fanboys, but it looks like Frank Darabont’s adaptation of Robert Kirkman’s comic has definitely struck a cord with the unwashed comic book reading/horror movie lovin’ masses out there.
