After the usual “squeezing blood from a stone” approach to movie trailer releases by the studio this week, the full trailer for James Mangold’s “The Wolverine” has finally arrive in all its full trailer glory. Was it worth the wait? You decide!

By the way, thank God the studio only had two days to pull the ol “teaser of a teaser” gag, and even then they managed to screw it up pretty badly, with Mangold himself releasing 6 seconds from the movie on Monday, only to have MTV later bragging that they were exclusively releasing the “first ever” footage (about 20 seconds) from the movie on Tuesday, apparently not aware that Mangold had released the “first ever footage” a day earlier. Oops! (See, this is what happens when you get too clever with movie trailers.)

Anyhoo, “The Wolverine” will find Logan, the eternal warrior and outsider, in Japan, where we’re told that samurai steel will clash with adamantium claws as Logan confronts a mysterious figure from his past in an epic battle that will leave him forever changed. Hey, that’s why they’re epic battles, am I right? Epic battles where no one changes is not really that “epic” if you ask me.

Starring Hugh Jackman, Brian Tee, Will Yun Lee, Hiroyuki Sanada, Svetlana Khodchenkova, Rila Fukushima, James Fraser, Tao Okamoto, and Hal Yamanouchi.

The Canucklehead gets feral this July 26, 2013.

Updated: Added a second, International trailer for the film. It has much more build-up and is a tad better in my opinion.
