It was PG-13, then it was rated R, and now it’s PG-13 again. Which is really where it should be, judging by the film’s general lack of seriousness. McG’s “This Means War” (wonder how long ol McG is going to keep that moniker) stars Tom Hard and Chris Pine as uber badass CIA dudes who are also best friends. Complications arise when the boys realize they’re both in love with the same woman, played by Reese Witherspoon. I know what you’re thinking: Reese Witherspoon? I can see it, though. She’s cute, spunky, and she recently made fun of actresses who got famous by taking nude shots of themselves with their camera on an awards show. That’s just awesome.
Anyways, as boys are wont to do, the CIA guys of course start using their CIA contacts and assets to chase after her. General Tomfoolery commences (such as the clip below), until a real bad guy shows up, forcing our heroes to team up once again. I’m guessing about that second part, but I’m reasonably certain that’s the general gist of the film. I mean, you can’t really have an entire movie just about two guys chasing after a woman, right? This is an action-comedy, after all, not a romcom.
Please to watch the clip.
