If you’re Thor, and the Avengers are busy doing, er, other things that doesn’t involve helping you, apparently. (Don’t feel bad, Thor, they didn’t even help out ol Iron Man when he was all endangered and such earlier this year.) So who do you turn to? How about your evil adopted brother Loki. Sure, there’s that whole evil thing, that whole trying to enslave mankind thing, but he’s still, ya know, your brother. Kind of. Not really.
Check out the first clip from director Alan Taylor’s “Thor: The Dark World”, which finds the two brothers looking for a little brotherly love. Too bad they’re not in Philly.
Thor battles to save all the Nine Realms from a mysterious enemy older than the universe itself. However, a shadowy race led by Malekith, who is out for revenge, intends to descend the universe into darkness. Confronted by an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot overcome, Thor must reunite with Jane Foster and set out on a dangerous journey that will force him to make the ultimate sacrifice.
The cast includes Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgård, Idris Elba, Christopher Eccleston, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Kat Dennings, Ray Stevenson, Zachary Levi, Tadanobu Asano, Jaimie Alexander, Rene Russo and Anthony Hopkins.
The bros plot this November 8th.
