Thor Movie Toys. Now with Removable Helmet and Detachable Hands.

Does Thor wear his helmet in the big-screen Kenneth Branagh movie? Does he wear it enough? That seems to be a subject of great concern to many Thor fans out there, or at least judging from our comments section. Not being a big fan of the guy with the big hammer (nothing personal; never really got into God comic books during my comic book reading days), I had no idea “to helmet, or not to helmet” was such a big deal. Well here are a couple of “Thor” movie toy pictures that may put your minds at ease. Or, er, make it even worse. Hey, what do I know, you guys are weird that way.

I missed out on the Joker version that had changeable clothes (bank robber and Purple suit complete with grenades on pull string), and that one was amazing. This too is very lifelike. I think it will give a sense of what the helmeted Thor looks like for the movie. Personally I like it. The freaking Hammer is metal too!!!

You know I’m a Sideshow fan but Hot Toys nearly always has a more true to the character look to them, the face especially. This looks great as well. But that said, I still have a problem with spending hundreds of dollars on an action figure…I prefer statues…I have Sideshow’s Neytiri polystone statue on pre-order.

Why do they have this clown covering this topic then?!

    • http://www.originalgeekspodcast.com/ Dedpool

Um because it’s his sight maybe. Because he and I thought clowns like you would want to see this because we are aware that the helmet thing is an issue (though to me, even as a fan I think it’s a small one, iconic look or not) and because we like to see people make themselves look small by insulting people to try and be cool. The fact that he reported on it and is not a fan of the character shows dedication to fans and readers and an awareness of the issues fanboys are having, regardless of his own interest.

For all the reasons above, plus my clown car broke down and it was either cover this or go clown car shopping. And I hate shopping for clown cars.

I know, right! It’s such a freaking hassle. Dealership guys are always assholes til I squirt acid on their desk from my flower. You don’t mess with a clown. We all float down here!

They try to pull that ol, “Let me see what I can do with my manager” bit on you. Honestly, just cause I’m a clown, don’t mean I’m gonna fall for that! (Again.)
