Thor: The Dark World Went Back to Reshoots to Add More Loki Shenanigans

If you were one of those people who saw the recently posted trailer for “Thor: The Dark World” and thought it looked cool, but thought it could definitely used a little bit more Loki, then apparently you weren’t the only one. According to “The Dark World” director Alan Taylor, the film’s recent spate of reshoots was for precisely that reason — to add in more Loki.

The director recently told Collider:

We’re doing full scenes, scenes that were not in the movie before. We’re adding scenes, creating scenes, writing scenes for the first time… We realized how well Loki was working in the movie and we wanted to do more with him. So it was that kind of thing, it was like, ‘Oh, we could do this, we could jam this in here,’ because he’s such a wonderful guy to watch do his stuff.

Everyone loves Loki, apparently, even though he’s a mischievous and totally undependable fellow. I guess everyone really does love a bad boy.

“Thor: The Dark World”, starring Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgård, Idris Elba, Christopher Eccleston, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Kat Dennings, Ray Stevenson, Zachary Levi, Tadanobu Asano, Jaimie Alexander, Rene Russo and Anthony Hopkins, opens this November 8, 2013.
