As you may have heard, Quentin Tarantino’s WWII scalp’em up “Inglourious Basterds” is doing the whole Cannes thing over there in the land of the frogs ahead of its August 21 2009 release. Meanwhile, three new clips from the film have appeared online. One is a quickie featuring the movie’s villain, Hans Lada (Christoph Waltz) giving his opinions on Jews, another has Brad Pitt’s wacky accented American interrogating a Nazi, and the final clip features Pitt again, this time vetting Bridget von Hammersmark (Diane Kruger).
In Nazi-occupied France during World War II, a group of Jewish-American soldiers known as “The Basterds” are chosen specifically to spread fear throughout the Third Reich by scalping and brutally killing Nazis. The Basterds soon cross paths with a French-Jewish teenage girl who runs a movie theater in Paris which is targeted by the soldiers.
Starring Brad Pitt, Samuel L. Jackson, Diane Kruger, Mike Myers, Eli Roth, B.J. Novak, Julie Dreyfus, Cloris Leachman, Michael Fassbender, and Til Schweiger. Quentin Tarantino writes and directs.
The basterds land August 21.
Update: Added a fourth clip presented by the Chin One himself via Yahoo! Movies.
