Three Images of Christian Bale from Director Zhang Yimou’s Nanjing Heroes

Christian Bale is the man. Not only is he set to reprise his role as The Dark Knight in the next installment of Christopher Nolan’s insanely successful “Batman” franchise, he’s also making his Chinese film debut with Zhang Yimou’s “Nanjing Heroes”. Bale stars as an American priest who helps scores of Chinese civilians escape from invading Japanese forces during World War II. Below you’ll find a trio of images from the film, which finds Mr. Bale looking very dramatic and priest-like. I can’t wait to see a trailer for this one.

Todd was raised on a steady diet of Hollywood blockbusters, late-night Cinemax programming, and USA’s “Up All Night,” which may explain why his taste in movies is more than a little questionable. When he isn’t providing news and reviews for Beyond Hollywood, he can be found lounging lazily on his couch, perched in front of his television, or dwelling in places where direct sunlight can be easily avoided. He's happily married, in his 30's, and totally badass. If you'd like to reach Todd, you can follow him on Twitter or send him email/scoops to todd (at)
