Three New Images from Legion

What happens when God gets tired of us lowly humans and decide to start over? Well nothing good, that’s for sure. Here are three new images from Scott Stewart’s upcoming horror-action movie “Legion”, starring Paul Bettany as an archangel who voluntarily falls to Earth to save the savior of mankind. Unfortunately said savior hasn’t been born yet, and his mom is a diner waitress played by Adrianne Palicki. Luckily for our warrior angel, the diner also has some battling humans to lend a hand, including Dennis Quaid, Charles S. Dutton, Tyrese Gibson, and Lucas Black. He’ll need them too, when they’re surrounded by angels.

God strikes back January 22, 2010.

    Dear readers and viewers,

This film isn’t a joke, it is a blasphemy of God. God isn’t angry at us; God is loving us through his son Jesus Christ. His says to us: repent and believe in Me. This film makes of my God and Father an angry God who wants to punish us. And he doesn’t want to, but if we not repent, he has to. I will pray if God converses you all: don’t watch this movie. It’s a blasphemy of our gracious God.

Why is it that everytime a freaking movie pops up, that is fiction and has a stroy plot of god and or angels, so Christian fanatic bible thumper has to open their mouths and quote the bible. It is only a damn movie, if you think it’s blasphemy don’t watch it as simple as that.

And to say that GOD, gave us his ONLY SON…as a sacrifice to show our LOVE does not prove anything more to me. It is as if a women kills her child, to show the rest of the world her love for us. LOVE is love, you do not destroy or kill a live, to prove the love of another. JESUS is an example nothing more, nothing less. Do not forget that.

Believe in an egotistical god, who wants nothing more but to acknowledge that HE IS GOD. Sounds like god has a huge ego, and needs to hear it every chance he gets. God is amazing, but that is not what god really is, im sorry to inform you. Think for yourself, and do not read a bible that flawed men, 2 generations AFTER jesus died, wrote about in GREEK (not even jesus’s language)

How can a human analogy of a mother killing her son have anything to do with God’s sacrifice? All that Jesus endured, God (the Father) did as well. It wasn’t merely to show God’s love, it was necessary to remove our sin so that we could be reconciled to God. Only a substitution of this nature could accomplish this. Only God can bear the judgment, the punishment we deserve.

To call God egotistical is again to humanize (anthropomorphize) God. God deserves our adoration, exaltation, and worship because of who he is and what he has done. It is only right that God be adored. If that which is right is not done, the world is left diminished and incomplete (cf. Jesus’ claim, Luke 19:36-40).

The Gospels were written by Jesus’ direct followers. It is YOU who need to think for yourself and think through the evidence. Try a real scholar like Craig Blomberg (Historical Reliability of the Gospels) or N. T. Wright (Resurrection of the Son of God). Top atheist philosopher Antony Flew now believes in God because he was honest enough to confront the evidence. And after dialogue with Wright he sounds like he’s close to embracing Christianity (see his book, There is a God, esp. p. 213).

People should ALWAYS think for themselves when religion/scripture is envolved. Ever played the game telephone? Take 20 people who speak the same language and ask them to pass a phrase or sentence around the room for 20 minutes and see how well the result matches the beginning. Now imagine that game of telephone being passed around the world for thousands of years by million/billions of people, through umpteen languages & generations (where the meaning/ contexts & usage of phrases & words have changed). If one dares to imaging the end result bring the same as the original message then they are failing to use the brainpower God so generously gave them. Look at the Moses statues w/ horns due to a translation error (google that if u don’t know the reference). God’s word maybe perfect but humans (and human understanding) are woefully lacking the the perfection department. Add in every other denimation altering, deleting or simply banning and burning bible texts they (as humans with motives and ajendas) deem unfit. Just one example that popps into my mind is “thou shalt not kill” (Commandment obviously) vs ”
thou shalt not suffer a witch to live” (in exidous, can’t remember the chapter/verse). So you cannot kill was cast aside and a little something called the Inquisition came into play. People will twist the word of God to suit their needs so it is always subject to someones whims and if you simply accept & the words beat into ones head  then you may very well end up missing the point. Organized religion has become a business, especially in the US. One might as well get in line for the ocean front property on AZ if all you use for your religious belief is what others have decided  what you should believe. God should be worshiped, yes, but a broad, encompassing education of the missing information (and newly discovered, verified info) should also be used to make up ones religious beliefs. It is not out place to condem or condone God ALONE reserves that right. One cannot tell another they are going to Hell for this that and the other. None among us knows God’s mind and none among us knows what lies in anothers heart and soul.

You really need some help if you are seriously comparing a woman killing her child to God giving his son. God didn’t make Jesus die, it was Jesus’s choice to do it, he could have said no at any time and died. BUT, Jesus did it of HIS own free will to show us how much HE loved us. I hope that you find Jesus before it’s to late.

Excellent reply Dennis. The substitution is the only solution for mankind.
Public justice must be served and in a moral government headed by God, we as moral beings are held accountable for violation of His rules and laws in both thoughts and actions. The almighty and righteous judge needs to execute the judgment and instead of us, His Son took the punishment.
The only condition was to believe and accept His Son’s substitution, there is no other way, the sentence remains hanging on those who does not accept.

Are you serious? A mother killing her son to prove that she loves the rest of the world ish the perfect analogy. How you try to say what your so called god killing his son is different is bordeline ins anity. He didn’t want to do it he HAD to do it? Really? The guy who willed planets into existence by a mere thought had to kill his son. You do know that a perfect being with infinite power could have just made a tv that sucked up all the sin everytime you turn it to channel. 7 (remember he can do anything) God always was humanized because the humans who invented him could only think like humans. He showed nothing but human characteristics from page 1 until the end he was lonely, bored, needed a rest, got into a war with a jealous angel.racist picking a favorite group of people, angry, mass murdering.jealous (wants no other god before him. The so called top atheist was never a top anything. That line is like the guy on the late night infomercial who says “For years I too doubted Jacks money making plan until further research by the experts now I have proof. My wife and I made 60,000 in two weeks! You can too!” He was always a christian never a top atheist besides xtians turn atheist and atheist turn xtians every day. Nothing special about it. Now sit back and enjoy the movie.
